Nominated Youth Councilor Kemo Bojang  launched the revolving D20million Youth Empowerment Fund for the youths of KM in partnership with Supersonicz Financial Services.

Kemo came to Mayors office last month wanting to support youth entrepreneurship and we bought into his idea on a revolving fund that limits barriers to finance, has lower than average interests and ties credit on condition of completing business training with Empretec.

We told communities during my tour that the Youth Councillor was looking to launch a fund for youths in 2020, however with the support of the management of Supersonicz we are able to launch it on the last day of Mayors tour.

The load Mayor Message to the youth is to use the funds responsibly and to always remember they already have what it takes (ingenuity), and to treat the fund as a tool.
