KMC’s Emergency Action Plan

The Plan is aligned to the National COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan and it is designed to reach the grassroots and most vulnerable in Kanifing municipality.

3 Pillars of the Plan:

  1. Public sensitization
  2. Prevent spread
  3. Ease economic and hunger burden

KMC is calling on central government, development partners, and the private sector to support the fulfillment of the Plan, in order to meet the acute needs of the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 emergency.

KMC On Covid-19 Prevention Measures

Covid 19 prevention information

KMC in partnership with IOM conducted one day orientation of 30 volunteers on KMCs Covid-19 response. The objective is to equip the volunteers with necessary information on covid19 prevention measures. This will be followed by two days house to house public sensitization in hotspot areas within the municipality to help curb the spread of the virus. The exercise will last for two days starting on Saturday.

Volunteers include 15 returnees, 8 KM Youths and 7 Red Cross members.
