Mayor Bensouda officially opened the Latrikunda Sabiji Market which was a joint project with GamWorks. The D14million Market which was part of D110million worth of projects with Gamworks boasts 70 shops.

Given the demand for more shops from vendors we also launched today The Market expansion project which is a PPP in partnership with Finish Profiles Limited which will expand the new market with an additional 100 shops.

Opening of The Newly Built Serekunda Market Shed

We officially opened the Newly Built Serekunda market shed that will house 330 vendors.

The modern concept is built by Finish Profiles using prefab galvanized steel. shed is built by Gambians and material put together by Gambians.

It was truly an amazing event and our council is motivated to expand project to completely transform the market.
