Accompanied by Councillor Binta Janneh of Bakau Newtown Ward, Mayor Bensouda arrive in Madison Wisconsin for the annual sister city week.

This year’s goal is to get support from Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and the Common Council to Raise funding for KM’s first Municipal Public Library. The sister city week was kicked off last night under the organization of the sister city committee lead by Alder Samba Baldeh, Jerreh Kujabi, Kabba Bah and Musa Jallow.

The attendance was approximately 100 members of the Gambian Diaspora, leaders in Government and Civil Society of Madison, neighboring city Mayors of Sun Prairie Paul Esser, Mayor of Stevens Point Mike Wiza and representative of Congressman Mark Pocan, District Director Dane Varese.
