Mayor Talib Bensouda setup the first of its Kind Municipal Bus Service Task-Force with the TOR to come up with a Comprehensive Strategy to establish a Municipal Bus Service.

KMC is committed to offer transportation options that are efficient, safe and affordable for the residents of Kanifing.

The task-force instituted today is made up off Representatives from Ministry of Transport, works and infrastructure, National Road Authority, Ministry Of Lands and Local Government, GIS Experts from KMC Mapping Project.

I am also glad to announce that Mustapha Njie (TAF) is also a member who will bring the Private Sector perspective to the taskforce.

Other Task-forces setup today include Waste Processing and Market Expansion…. Private Sector Magnate Mr Alpha Barry (Deloitte) has also been co-opted into our waste processing Task-force.

Each task-force is purely voluntary (no remuneration) and made-up of Local/Central Government and Private sector reps tasked with a 6-Month mandate to come up with a Project to be considered and approved by KMC Council and Committees.
